Buckwheat Pancakes

I made buckwheat pancakes. I followed the recipe from the Joy of Cooking.

The “female” one is the same price, and has the same content plus a supplementary section with addresses of organizations, and “Karrieretipps”.

The cover art is ill advised. I know very few (though some) engineers and scientists who would identify with it.

Several questions come to my mind: Who thought of this idea? Who approved the cover art? Why not put the supplementary section in the regular addition? What about other categories of people who may encounter challenges in their career in math and sciences, such as gay or blind people? Does it work?

We often go north of Eberswalder and Danziger, but never go north of Bernauer.

This tip of the neighbourhood Wedding is quite different from the places we normally spend time, I assume because the Berlin Wall put Wedding in West Berlin. The buildings are taller, but the stories in them are shorter. There is a greater distinction between residential and commercial streets. It just not very cool.

Turns out the coffee place has elusive weekday-only hours. Schade. I’ll have to try it during the week, when I have a chance.

On our way to actually-opened coffee, we passed through an impressively large platz, which is only one street over from Mauerpark. It was odd for me to have never known it was there even though I’ve lived so close to it these four years.

I can't wait to come back in Spring to see this pond filled with water.

We didn’t try to save anyone, including ourselves. There was no panic, no worry, no action.

This all made sense at the time, but now I’m haunted, wondering where all the water came from, and how it overcame us so quickly.

I successfully turned the heel. Now I’m in the home stretch, which also happens to be the boring part. I may take a break from these for a while
